Until very recently I have always purchased my makeup at drugstores. In middle school I would save my babysitting money so that I could buy a new tube of Maybelline Great Lash mascara or another eye shadow palette, and I’ve stuck with the same go-to products for over ten years. Unlike many other teens, I never really had an experimental makeup phase; I always have been and always will be a proponent of natural-looking makeup.
Now that I’m older and no longer supporting myself with babysitting jobs, I decided it’s time to upgrade my makeup routine. I’ll be doing my own makeup for my wedding in June, so this seemed like the perfect time to expand my makeup collection. After much research and a few trips to Sephora, these are the products that I’ll be using to get glam on the big day!
I’ve switched up my perfume a few times throughout the years, and this one is my new favorite. With a name of Love Story and notes of stephanotis jasmine (a popular flower for wedding bouquets), this seemed like an obvious choice!
P.S. I needed a heavy-duty waterproof mascara for the wedding (I’m anticipating lots of tears!), but Maybelline Great Lash in blackest black will always be my go-to mascara!
