It’s the same every year. August rolls around and I find myself torn between wanting summer to last forever and the anticipation of crisp autumn days. It’s likely because I’ve grown tired of much of my summer wardrobe and find myself lusting after new items for fall. At the top of my lust list are lace-up flats.
The Inspiration: Aquazzura’s Christy Flat
I’ve seen the gorgeous flats on the feet of some of my favorite fashion bloggers this summer, but with a price tag of $675 I was determined to find a more affordable style that I could wear come fall. Here’s a roundup of some of my favorite lace-up styles for under $120!
I fell in love with this perfect pair from Zara ($70), waited a day to pull the trigger, and was just about to order them this morning when I discovered that they’d sold out in my size since I first saw them yesterday. Utter heartbreak. They are still available in most sizes, and there’s a similar version (also from Zara for $50) available here.
I quickly recovered from my heartbreak after seeing this pair from Nine West ($89). I’ve been thrilled with previous purchases from Nine West, so I quickly ordered these and am now patiently awaiting their arrival.
This d’orsay version from Aldo ($70) manages to combine two trends into one shoe.
