Blueberry Cinnamon Rolls

The are the BEST blueberry cinnamon rolls, made with pillowy-soft brioche dough, a sweet cinnamon and blueberry filling, and blueberry cream cheese icing.

Make the brioche dough. Combine milk, yeast, egg, butter, flour, sugar, and salt and let the mixture stand for 5 minutes.

Step 1

Beat until a sticky dough forms, then increase speed and beat until the dough is soft and smooth.

Step 2

Transfer the ball of dough to a lightly greased bowl and cover the bowl with a clean dish towel.

Step 3

Let the dough rise until doubled in size, then  chill for at least 1 hour or up to overnight.

Step 4

Prep the cinnamon filling. In a small bowl, whisk together the sugars and cinnamon. Set aside.

Step 5

Shape the cinnamon rolls. Roll the dough into a rectangle that's 9 inches x 12 inches.

Step 6

Spread softened butter then blueberry jam evenly over the doughr, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the butter.

Step 7

Use a pizza cutter to make 5 evenly spaced vertical slits in the dough. Roll up each strip of dough to create a spiral.

Step 8

Place the rolls cut side up onto your baking sheet or pan. Let the rolls rise until doubled in size.

Step 9

Once the rolls have risen, pour heavy cream over them immediately before baking.

Step 10

Bake the rolls at 350ºF for 25-30 minutes, or until they're golden brown.

Step 11

Make the blueberry cream cheese icing by beating cream cheese, butter, and salt with confectioners' sugar and blueberry jam. Spread icing over the still warm cinnamon rolls and enjoy!
