Grilled Strawberry Shortcake

Pound Cake Ingredients

– ½ lb. (2 cups plus 1 Tbsp.) cake flour, sifted – ½ tsp. baking powder – ¼ tsp. salt – ½ lb. unsalted butter, room temperature – ½ lb. (1 ¼ cups) superfine sugar – ½ tsp. vanilla extract – ½ tsp. lemon extract – ½ tsp. almond extract – ½ lb. eggs (about 4 large eggs plus 1 large egg white)

combine cake flour, baking powder, and salt

cream butter and superfine sugar

add vanilla extract, lemon extract, almond extract, and eggs

add the flour mixture to butter mixture and stir just until blended

add the batter to a greased loaf pan

bake at 350°F for  1 hour and 30 minutes
