Baking Soda

Melting Wafers

Black Cocoa

Brown Sugar

In a medium bowl, add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt and whisk to combine.

Step 1

Using a stand mixer or electric hand nixer, cream the butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.

Step 2

Add egg, milk, and vanilla to the butter mixture and beat to combine.

Step 3

With the mixer running on low speed, slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture blending until combined.

Step 4

Scoop 1 ½ Tablespoon balls of cookie dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets.

Step 5

Bake the cookies at 350°F for 10 minutes or until the cookies are flattened with slightly puffed centers.

Step 6

Melt the white chocolate wafers in the microwave on 50% power, stirring until completely smooth.

Step 7

Add the melted chocolate to a piping bag fitted with a small round piping tip (or simply use a large plastic food storage bag with one corner snipped off).

Step 8

Affix the eyeballs using white chocolate, then pipe lines of chocolate back and forth across each of the 4 "corners" to create the mummy's wrapping.
