Creme de Menthe Brownies

Fudgy brownies are baked from scratch, topped with a creamy mint crème de menthe layer, and coated with a layer of rich chocolate.

Brownie Layer: – unsalted butter – semi-sweet chocolate – granulated sugar – light brown sugar – vanilla extract – eggs – all-purpose flour – natural cocoa powder – salt Creme de Menthe Layer: – unsalted butter – confectioners' sugar – crème de menthe Chocolate Layer: – semi-sweet chocolate – unsalted butter


Melt butter and chocolate and whisk until smooth.

Step 1

Add sugar and brown sugar and whisk to combine.

Step 2

Add vanilla and eggs and whisk to combine.

Step 3

Add flour, cocoa powder, and salt and fold into the chocolate mixture.

Step 4

Spread brownie batter into an 8x8 pan lined with parchment paper.

Bake brownies at 350°F for 30-35 minutes.

Combine melted butter, confectioners' sugar, and creme de menthe and whisk until smooth.

Step 7

Spread the creme de menthe layer over the cooled brownies and chill 5 minutes.

Step 8

Melt chocolate and butter and whisk until smooth.

Step 9

Spread the chocolate mixture over the creme de menthe layer and let set.

Step 10

When the chocolate is set, slice the brownies into 16 squares and serve!
