Dirt Cups


Made with homemade chocolate pudding and crushed Oreo cookies, these Halloween Dirt Cups put a spooky spin on nostalgic dirt dessert pudding cups!



Melting Wafers

Dutch cocoa


Crushed Oreos


Combine milk, sugar, and cocoa powder in a saucepan over medium heat until steaming and warm.

Step 1

In a heat-proof bowl, whisk together remaining milk, cornstarch, salt, egg yolks, and vanilla extract.

Step 2

Temper the eggs by slowly adding about half of the steaming chocolate milk into the egg mixture.

Step 3

Add the egg mixture back to the saucepan and heat over medium heat, whisking constantly.

Step 4

When pudding comes to a rolling boil, continue to whisk and boil as pudding thickens.

Step 5

Remove pudding from heat and pour or spoon into jars or ramekins.

Step 6

Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate the pudding for at least 4 hours.

Step 7

Remove the jars from the fridge and remove the plastic wrap. Top each pudding cup with the crushed Oreos.

Step 8

Decorate with white chocolate spiderwebs and M&M caterpillars. See recipe post for tutorial.
