A classic gin and tonic becomes even more refreshing with the addition of fresh cucumber, limes, and mint! It’s the perfect summertime cocktail recipe!
With just one more week until our wedding, I’m completely obsessing over every last little detail. Details are so important to me; they’re what takes anything (an event, an outfit, a presentation at work, or a meal) from good to great. While every wedding includes vows, a dress, and some food, it’s the details that we’ve planned for our big day that will make our wedding uniquely ours.
One detail that we knew we wanted from the beginning was a signature cocktail. We poured over recipes trying to find one that sounded tasty and unique, but in the end we decided on a jazzed-up Gin and Tonic. A loves a good G&T, and they’re one of my favorite drinks because they remind me of summers at the lake. The addition of a few unexpected ingredients make the cocktail super refreshing and a bit more special. I’ve cheesily dubbed our cocktail the “Ferraro Fizz” after my soon-to-be new last name.
Gin and Tonic with Fresh Cucumber, Mint, and Lime
1 oz gin
4 ice cubes
4 cucumber slices
3 mint leaves
1 lime wedge
In a lowball glass, add gin and ice cubes and top with tonic water. Add cucumber slices, mint leaves, and lime wedge. Stir and enjoy!
